Through a full-cycle support system — including technology commercialization, startup incubation, investment linkage, and global expansion — the university is accelerating the transition from research achievements to market deployment and overseas investment attraction, solidifying its position as a leading deep-tech startup hub in Korea.

Barreleye, founded by KAIST Professor Hyeon-Min Bae, has successfully entered the global healthcare market and secured KRW 14 billion in strategic funding through its AI-powered ultrasound diagnostic technology.
This achievement demonstrates the competitiveness of KAIST’s AI- and medical-technology convergence startups in both the global market and investment landscape.
