1. Purpose of Data Processing
Barreleye Inc. handles personal information only for the specific objectives listed below. We do not repurpose data for unrelated goals without obtaining additional consent as required by Article 18 of the「Personal Information Protection Act」of Republic of Korea. Our primary processing activities include:
Operational Management: Executing and overseeing service and solution contracts, as well as managing sales operations.
Communication: Providing professional consultations and responding to customer feedback.
Recruitment: Managing the hiring process, maintaining talent pools, and conducting background checks.
Innovation: Conducting marketing activities.
2. Categories of Data and Legal Basis
Our processing activities are grounded in the following legal frameworks under「Personal Information Protection Act」(“Personal Information Act”) and「Income Tax Act」(“Income Tax Act”) of Republic of Korea:
Legitimate Interest (Art. 15(1)6): To manage B2B contracts and marketing, we process names, company affiliations, positions, and professional contact details.
Contractual Necessity (Art. 15(1)4): For the recruitment screening, we collect names, contact info, and military/disability status. Optional details like career history and qualifications may also be provided.
Legal Mandates (Art. 15(1)2): Pursuant to the「Income Tax Act」, we may retain resident registration numbers (via ID copies) to document consultation fee payments.
Explicit Consent (Art. 15(1)1): We obtain direct approval for talent pool registration, reference checks, and detailed inquiry handling involving bank account or identity information.

3. Retention and Disposal Procedures
Barreleye Inc. retains personal data only for the duration required by law or as agreed upon at the time of collection. Specifically:
Contracts: Retained until the corporate agreement concludes.
Hiring: Deleted upon completion of screening, or kept for 5 years if in the talent pool.
Advisory Committees: Retained for 5 years.
When the data is no longer necessary or the retention period expires, Barreleye Inc. initiates immediate destruction. Electronic records are wiped using technical methods that prevent recovery, while physical documents are shredded or incinerated. Should legal requirements necessitate continued storage, the data is moved to an isolated database.
4. Third-Party Sharing and Outsourcing
We do not provide personal data to external parties unless required by legal authorities for investigative purposes under strict regulatory procedures. To ensure efficient operations, we entrust specific tasks to:

5. International Data Transfers
For recruitment purposes, application data is transferred to Google Inc. in the USA and EU to facilitate the use of Google Workspace. Users may refuse this transfer by requesting data deletion using the contact information provided in Section 8 of this policy, though this will result in an inability to use the related services.
6. Information Security Measures
Barreleye Inc. protects your data through the following safeguards:
Administrative: Internal management plans, dedicated privacy staff, and regular employee training.
Technical: Access right management, log monitoring, security software updates, and vulnerability assessments.
Physical: Restricted access to server rooms and secure areas.
7. Online Behavioral Tracking
We permit third parties like Google Analytics to collect browser information and visit history via cookies for service improvement and targeted advertising. You can manage or block these tools through your browser settings (e.g., Chrome’s "Privacy and Security" menu).
8. Your Rights and Contacts
You may exercise your rights to access, correct, delete, or pause the processing of your data at any time. Barreleye Inc. will respond to requests within 10 days.

Terms of Use Changes
These Terms of Use apply from their effective date. If additions, deletions, or corrections are made under applicable laws or terms changes, the changes will be announced at least 7 days before the effective date.
